Another catch up blog, starting around Easter.
Jackie worked over Easter but had the Sunday off. I was on duty all weekend.
Theo and I had fun, even if the weather was miserable.
We made a couple of batches of hot cross buns this year. Theo helped with mixing the ingredients, and eating the buns!
This was our first batch the week before Easter, looked great but needed more fruit and flavour, were still pretty good though |
Theo loved them |
Theo helping out on the second batch on Good Friday |
Next batch didn't look as uniform but tasted much better, more fruit, spice and the glaze was apricot jam, yum. |
Theo and I wrapped up warn and went for a walk and played some ball. |
After a big walk and lots of playing Theo had a big nap while I had coffee and a sausage roll. |
We had some quiet reading time |
On Easter Sunday we went to Pizza Express |
Theo got a babycino |
And his first Easter egg - a mini cream egg, don't get caught! |
The egg didn't last long |
That all too familiar Easter feeling - I've had too much chocolate but can't stop |
The following week I took Theo to a pub where they had a free punch and judy puppet show. Theo kind of enjoyed it, he spent most of his time walking around the pub, bumping in to people and trying to get in behind the bar. |
The weather has finally started to improve, Theo has claimed my shades and hat. Looking like a grown up. |
While Jackie was at work I took Theo to the park. He went down the slide a number of times, spent lots of time walking up to other kids' mums and even picked up an admirer - Theo nearly crashed into a girl (maybe 6-7 yo) who was on roller blades, she asked what Theo's name was and then told me he was cute. As we left the park Theo gave her a wave - such a charmer!! |
So that's a bit of an update.
Lovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to take him to the park and watch his pick-up line in action
